Thomas
Lister’s
life changed forever on October 27, 2000 when he learned he was HIV
positive. While the news was devastating, and affected Thomas on
physical and emotional levels, the diagnosis fostered an entirely
new life purpose and career for him. As a result, Thomas has thrown
himself into community activism, and has become a powerful and effective
advocate and spokesperson for HIV disclosure and prevention education.
Additionally, by having the courage and strength to overcome adversity,
and breakdown the barriers and obstacles along the way, Thomas is
able to apply his personal experiences into several motivational
speeches that appeal to a vast audience. |
