Early Life and Professional Career

Thomas was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. At the age of 14, he moved to the U.S. with his family and has enjoyed living in Reno, Las Vegas, Sacramento, San Francisco, New York and Tampa, Florida where he currently resides.
Prior to his current role in the fight against AIDS, Thomas enjoyed a long and successful career in the financial services sector, primarily with industry leader Charles Schwab & Co. While at Schwab, Thomas began exploring his creative side through singing and acting, leading to many musical theatre productions throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. In early 1998 Thomas moved to New York to pursue a career on Broadway. But in early 2000, after living the life of a struggling New York actor, Thomas returned home to San Francisco and stability. An accomplished public speaker, Thomas was a member of Toastmasters International from1986 through 1996.
